"1770 Beach"
35cm x 25cm
Oil on Board
Framed, ready to hang
The acclaimed explorer and discoverer of Australia sailed the Endeavour with his crew up the eastern coast of Australia.
In 1770 he came ashore at this inlet near the river mouth. Apparently to get supplies, food and fresh water and to make repairs to the boat.
Today the township of 1770 is a sleepy hollow next door to Agnes Waters. A relaxing peaceful place for a getaway for a week or two.
